I’ve been to over 20+ interviews over the course of my career, and one thing that stood out to me most was that majority of the interviewers were disarmed by honest answers.
And no, I don’t mean, raw honesty like “I left my previous job because my boss was a Hitler in the making”.
Rather, it was honesty expressed as “I left my previous job as my boss and I had differing view points about resolving issues in projects, and though we tried several times to reach middle ground, we found it difficult to be on the same page.” You know, something along those lines: honesty minus negativity.
